Inspired by Topiaries
The world’s most manicured gardens can be a great source of inspiration for your little landscape. For your miniature plant choices – just as in full-sized topiaries – you’re looking for tight and dense growth patterns in either needles or leaves.
Suitable plants for a topiary:
- Varieties of thyme for hedges
- African Boxwood for trees
- Junipers (Blue Star) for trees
These amazing gardens are in Scotland and France, respectively. Castles and Chateaus often have the loveliest formal gardens, but the work involved in these topiaries combined with their asymmetry are particularly appealing and intriguing.
